Last year marked the initiation of a joint cooperative between the Cape Verde Islands and the European Union. The relationship raised the expectations and ambitions of diverse parties ranging from common citizens of the archipelago to foreign investors and tourists who wish to facilitate their access to all the islands have to offer.Planificaciones Mundiales is happy to announce that the partnership between the European Union and Cape Verde is moving along in a positive direction. On Thursday June 5, both parties are set to sign a Joint Declaration on the Partnership of Mobility between the EU and Cape Verde.  Said declaration will facilitate the circulation of Capeverdeans within the European community via norms that will be defined in the accord.Not only will Capeverdeans have easier access to the European market, but the European Community will also benefit from the latter accord by having the Capeverdean government’s full collaboration in reinforcing illegal migratory flows. Both sides recognize the necessity and pleasure that is involved in opening its doors to those who wish to work or vacation in Cape Verde or any of the European Union countries and the declaration to be signed on June 5 illustrates that this step is one of many to be taken in ensuring that European as well as Capeverdeans are benefiting from the development boom that is occurring on the small archipelago.
